My heart goes out to Ralph Beckett, Andrea Atzeni and all involved with Simple Verse. Jamie Spencer can be included in the hard done by collective as he suffered the indignity, sorry a similar fate for the same team at Woodbine aboard Secret Gesture. 

Connoisseurs of the sport are not convinced this is the best Juddmonte International we’re about to see, but they paw over the figures and will dust down the archives to reveal a race of the highest calibre.  I respect their abacus, but at times their analytical nature misses the point. 

How many times have you been racing having had a bet before arriving or during the day and, result aside, ended up saying, what if, if only, couldn’t they just, wouldn’t it be better ….

Flaming June, or so it’s meant to be.  For racing it is packed full of fun from the Investec Oaks and Derby to the John Smith’s Northumberland Plate, with Royal Ascot pleasingly placed in the from the 16th to 20th.  I’m in the privileged position to be in attendance for each and every one of the aforementioned and I can’t wait. 

The British Horseracing Authority announced details of a new Horseracing Bettors Forum, which will allow people who bet on British Racing to provide the BHA with constructive suggestions about how the sport can develop and change, for the benefit of the betting public.

From Thursday, 30th April 2015 Rewards4Racing members will be able to collect and spend R4R Points on their online ticketing transactions with York Racecourse.
