Virtual Events
Virtual Events
When Covid restrictions stopped us from visiting the racecourses in person the Club arranged regular virtual events for members to enjoy. The Zoom calls with racing personalities proved popular with members and even though spectators are now back racing, we are continuing to organise them.
So far members have enjoyed calls with trainer Richard Fahey; trainer Ed Walker; trainer and jockey team Dan and Harry Skelton; trainer Oliver Sherwood and Sky Sports presenter Josh Apiafi; Racing Post journalist Lee Mottershead; racing author Tony Linnett; a Desert Orchid Tribute call with David Elsworth, Richard Dunwoody, Simon Sherwood, Janice Coyle, Richard Linley and Colin Brown; a King George IV preview with Simon Holt and Richard Dunwoody; a pre-Cheltenham Festival call with Philip Hobbs, Richard Johnson and Jamie Snowden; a Cheltenham Festival card run-through with Simon Holt; banter with ITV duo Jason Weaver and Luke Harvey and a pre-Grand National call with winning jockey turned journalist Marcus Armytage with his great friend trainer Richard Phillips. You can watch these chats on our YouTube page here.
