Doncaster Leger Festival

The flat season continues to roll on and it continues to throw up surprises. The feature meeting this weekend was July Festival in Newmarket which produced three days of enthralling action. Super Saturday proved a step too far for the mighty Carravaggio, as he lost his unbeaten record to Clive Cox's star sprinter Harry Angel in the July Cup.

Adrian Judd has extended his lead at the top thanks to Harry Angel's heroics but John Williams is keeping within striking distance. There is a bunched field in behind with the rest of the top ten all on 330. It is still early in the season but is this becoming a two horse race?

1 Adrian Judd (6) 440
2 John Williams (1) 375
3 Graham Barton (2) 330
3 Adrian Judd (3) 330
