Ten To Follow Update (13.12.2017)

Sandown

The jumps season continues to roll on and despite the adverse weather conditions, we have had some fantastic action from Aintree for the Becher Chase and Sandown for the Tingle Creek.

On The Blind Side kicked the weekend off in style for Nicky Henderson, with a brilliant performance in the Ballymore Novices Hurdle. His unbeaten run has now been extended to three under rules and could be a major player come March.

On Saturday, Sceau Royale caused a shock in the Henry VIII Novices Chase with only one player, Roy Horne, selecting him. This could prove a shrewd move by the end of the season. Later in the day Politologue turned over the odds on favourite to win the Tingle Creek to give Paul Nicholls his first Grade 1 win of the season.

Over at Aintree, Blacklion showed his class and landed the gamble as he hacked up in the Becher Chase. He looked to relish the National Fences and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him run well in the Grand National. Also on the card Definitely Red gave many players some valuable points in the Many Clouds Chase.

We have had some great racing over the festive period including the International Meeting at Cheltenham, Christmas Racing Weekend at Ascot, the 32 Red Winter Festival at Kempton and the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow.

There will be no Ten To Follow update next week, please check back on the first Wednesday of 2018.
