Glacier Point entered at Chepstow

Posted 3 years ago

Glacier Point has been entered at Chepstow on Friday 14 July in the 6.45pm which is The Labels Shopping, Ross on Wye Handicap Stakes for three-year-olds and over rated 51-70 over five furlongs.

There are currently 14 horses entered in the race with final declarations due on Wednesday. As Glacier Point is a three-year-old she would receive a 5lbs allowance so although officially she is the second best rated horse in the race on a mark of 70, she has been allocated a weight of just 9st 7lbs at the moment with the top horse - Major Valentine rated 71 and allocated 9st 13lbs.

With the possibility of Hector Crouch taking an extra 3lbs off again it looks a really good opportunity for Glacier Point on a stiffer track than Lingfield as well. The only concern of course is the ground which is currently Good to Firm, Firm in places. But there is between 5-15mm rain forecast tomorrow and more changeable weather expected on Wednesday and Thursday. We will keep a close eye on the rain radar and keep you updated when we know more.
