Market Rasen have begun work on an £800,000 development to
extend the Tattersalls enclosure. The investment is the
biggest seen by the racecourse in 11 years and will offer a
greater capacity in Market Rasen’s most popular enclosure
for major events, which saw several sell outs in 2013.

Our little superstar Clouds Rest gave her owners a day out
to remember on Wednesday 18 June. The 'Pocket Rocket', or
'Malton Midget' as the Racing Post dubbed her in their race
preview, took on the fastest fillies from Britain, Ireland
and America in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot. As
always she pinged out of the stalls and gave everyone a real
thrill as her white face showed up at the head of the field
for the first three furlongs. Even when the field came past
her she found a bit more, until Paul Hanagan accepted defeat
and wisely eased down in the final furlong. She did herself
and all her owners proud!
